Salary Range: $76,200.06 - $105,700.02


The anticipated starting salary will be between $84,000-$89,000 per annum.

We are an independent office of the Legislature that reports on the economy, efficiency and effectiveness of significant public sector programs. Our performance audits cover all government sectors including health, education, protection, natural resources and the environment, transportation, social services and economic development.


We are currently seeking applicants for the regular full-time position of Manager, Performance Audit. The manager has a crucial role in ensuring that all work meets our high expectations for integrity, professionalism and value. The manager leads the planning, conducting and reporting of challenging performance audits, while ensuring adherence to professional audit standards and the Office's methodology. This position is responsible for managing resources and meeting program deliverables within budget and time allotments.


Located in beautiful downtown Victoria, the Office has a strong mandate through the Auditor General Act to promote effective and accountable government.

In order to be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A Master's Degree in a related field such as business, economics, public administration, political science or environmental science or a specialist credential related to the mandate of the Office (for example a Professional Accounting designation, Law Degree, Professional Engineer, or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 3 years progressively responsible experience conducting audits and/or assessments of an organization's performance, including responsibility for managing the planning, conducting and reporting on audit/assessment projects.
  • Preference may be given to applicants with experience supervising staff and reviewing audits and/or assessments within the last year.
