This is an exceptional opportunity to join our Office and be in a unique position to lead the information management program aspects related to privacy, FOI, corporate records, and information architecture. The Office is commencing development of a digital strategy and there is strong support for IM and adoption of data analytics and cloud systems within an agile team

The position consists of three elements: strategy, projects, and operations while working collaboratively with all portfolios including financial audit, performance and IT audit, and corporate services.  In addition, the position will be responsible for managing external stakeholder relationships and make a significant contribution to the Office and public sector in moving this work forward.

The role requires individuals who are collaborative and committed to professional development and ongoing learning; comfortable being in a lead position and providing expertise and support in moving the Office forward and are creative and enjoy bringing forward ideas.

Job Requirements

Successful applicants will have:

  • Degree in Records/Information Management, Digital Archival, or equivalent information systems management degree (Masters preferred);
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and expert knowledge of, and experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies and procedures related to the collection, use and disclosure of information governed by and including, FOIPPA and the Information Management Act;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and expert knowledge of Records and Information Management practices, including knowledge of ISO 15489, ISO 27018, and related security standards such as ISO 27017, NIST 800-53, or equivalent; and
  • Working knowledge of records and information management platforms, such as SharePoint, and related applications and tools.

Preference may be given to applicants that have:

  • Project management and business analysis expertise and/or willingness to develop these skills
  • Information architecture and design expertise and/or willingness to develop skills in this area.
  • U/X experience/thinking and design thinking.
  • Customer Experience Road-mapping

Band 2 Manager, Records, Information and Privacy Permanent, Full Time Regular Position Salary Range: $65,600.24 - $90,900.08 annually plus benefits (valued at approx. 25%) An eligibility list may be established for future vacancies.
